Tipsy Skipper

 Tipsy Skipper is having a trunk show at NRO in Boston this weekend... guess who will just happen to be in the city on the very same day for a Stella & Dot party? Three cheers for a double-shopping day! 

If you are not familiar with Tipsy Skipper, they have a line of beautifully patterned clutches, ballet flats, flip flops, and totes - perfectly preppy!

Fabulously British

Have you ever shopped at Jack Wills? Although I have never bought anything, their pink & navy storefront drew us in and Husband & I always pop into their South Water Street location while window shopping in Nantucket. 

While strolling along Newbury Street in Boston this weekend, I immediately fell in love with the lovely dress in their window...the Kerris dress. 

Pink, polka dots, and bows: ladylike perfection! 

The dress is actually a much more subdued pink a la my dressing room instagram photo above... I could not make up my mind between the two color choices, so I did what any logical girl would do. I tried on BOTH! Fun, flirty, and feminine, I am just smitten.   

Their Summer 2012 video has also tickled my fancy... take a look for yourself (the Kerris dress has a starring role!). Here are a couple still shots from the video that I adore:

Galas, Bridal Showers, and Mommas

Happy Friday, lovelies! I am finally settling back in after our trip, and I promise lots of photos to come soon. Until then, I have a very busy weekend ahead of me! Tonight, I am attending a charity gala at the golf club that a friend of mine is chairing. I will be wearing this lovely Lilly: 

A college roommate's bridal shower is at the country club Saturday morning, and I cannot wait to catch up with my college besties. After that, I am headed into the city for some alfresco dining and drinks with girlfriends (and perhaps a little shopping...tee hee). 

I will be celebrating my wonderful Mother and Mother-in-Law on Sunday with all kinds of Mother's Day festivities. Wishing all the mommas out there a fabulous day!

Shopping in Spain: Massimo Dutti

Husband and I are back from a romantic trip to Spain, and I cannot wait to share photos and stories of our adventures with you. Whenever we go away, shopping is inevitable and I usually buy one special treat to commemorate each trip (usually Louis Vuitton when in Paris). Husband kept asking me what I wanted in Spain leading up to our trip, but I insisted I didn't need anything. What designers are Spanish? Other than Balenciaga, I was at a loss...

Doing a little window shopping in Madrid, I discovered Massimo Dutti and fell in love. I came home with these two lovely jackets (I swear, I feel just like Coco Chanel when wearing them), and I adore their chic timelessness.

They are both a beautiful tweed with a little sparkle woven in... the pale pink jacket has leather trim detailing and both have zipper accents. Los amo!  Photos and trip details to come once I finally upload my chip and recover from this jet lag.

Hola, amores! Today is the day that Husband and I are jetting to Spain, and I am over the moon. Here is our itinerary: 

3 days of tapas, museum-going, shopping, and sight-seeing in Madrid

4 days of exploring the old city of Sevilla, with lots of salsa dancing

1 day trip to the Algarve in Portugal and enjoying the beautiful drive along the coast

1 day in Trujillo, a quaint village outside of Madrid

Cannot wait to catch up with you all and share lots of photos and stories when we return! Besos! 

Fashionably Late Fashion Show

What does one wear to a Britt Ryan Fashion Show at the Liberty Hotel in Boston? Britt Ryan, of course!

I am decked out in a Britt Ryan dress and cannot wait for a night of girly fun and fashion with one of my besties. Fine dining at Scampo, cocktails, and a fashion show from one of my favorite preppy designers will make for a fabulous night out.

I also discovered that the Liberty does this each Thursday night. The series is called Fashionably Late, and a different designer is featured each week. I must keep an eye on the designer list and attend more often! A little history: the Liberty was the original Charles Street Jail, built in 1851. After a $150M renovation, it is now a gorgeous luxury hotel complete with multiple restaurants and bars, still with the history preserved and charm
