Ringing in 2012 in Charleston

I hope you all had the most magical Christmas. I cannot wait to share all the details of ours with you and to share all the goodies Husband spoiled me with!

Today, we are jetting to Charleston, South Carolina to ring in 2012 in Southern style. Any must sees, my Southern Belles?

I cannot wait to take in all the gorgeous architecture,

enjoy sailing on the ocean and strolls on the beach,

cozy up in our quaint home for the week,

and swoon over lots of PINK! Ooh la la!

We are attending a New Year's Eve Ball on the waterfront, and I will be decked out in Lilly! Cheers to 2012, y'all! XX

I have just spent 45 minutes on your blog. You have the most wonderful pictures. I'm wanting to pin everything! So pretty. I've been a follower of yours for awhile but just now rediscovered why I began following you in the first place. Your blog is now one of my favorites! Thank you for posting such lovely posts!

How fabulous! I've done NYE in Charleston, and it's so much fun! Make sure you visit King Street, and get some shopping done!! You must be headed to the aquarium for the ball. It's a great time!! Can't wait to see what Lilly you chose to wear!! I'm trying to decide, last minute I know, if I can get the Shannen here before NYE!

King Street is a must- a lesser version of Newbury Street in Boston or Via Condotti in Rome with lots of local shops- tres adorable!

Must see - The Battery, The Market, The old church cemeteries (weird but unique and there are a lot of OLD cemeteries and churches), Fort Sumter, Folly Beach and Kiawah Island

Eat- Hanks, Charleston Place, Blossoms, Magnolias, Poogans Porch, Fig, Tommy Condon's Irish Pub, and my personnel favorite because I am allergic to Seafood Sermet's Corner on King St. Oh and PLEASE go to Kilwin's on South Market Street and try their Charleston Mud and Praline Cheesecake Ice cream... THE BEST!!!

Have fun shopping on King Street. You will go broke :)

The King Street shopping is already covered, but even better than that... If you can make a res., dining at Husk is an absolute must! Much of the amazingly delicious food is locally-sourced and its accolades are extremely extensive. (http://www.huskrestaurant.com/, near King and Queen Streets). Rue de Jean is also quite good! Enjoy the Holy City!

Can't wait to hear all about your fabulous trip. Charleston is a city I've always yearned to visit. Maybe I should put it on my 2012 goals list? ;)
