Husband and I celebrated the 6 year anniversary of the fateful night we met with a romantic weekend of dinner dates and lounging by the water... we popped the bubbly on the boat yesterday and clinked our glasses!

Here is a sneak peek into the Belmont Stakes bridal shower I attended on Saturday... I was in my element in my new Lilly Maybell dress and big derby hat!

Lilly, Big Hats, and Bachelorettes

The weekend is so close I can taste it! Tomorrow is going to be a fun-filled day of bridal showers and bachelorette parties for this lady. For the bridal shower, we will be at the races watching the Belmont Stakes...I will be decked out in Lilly and a big derby hat! (Keep an eye on Instagram for photos once my dress has been selected and hat has been decorated.) The bachelorette party will be dining and celebrating in the city for the night.

Trina Turk TODAY

Today is the day! After previewing the collection on Gilt and through Facebook, I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Trina Turk collection for Banana Republic in stores (I'm a try-it-on kind of girl). 

This has not stopped me from swooning over the collection endlessly online, and I have my favorites: 

The Pisces strapless patio dress - j'adore!

Nantucket Shopping

Nantucket is one of my absolute favorite spots to dine and to shop, and Husband & I did lots of both during our long weekend on the island! A visit to In the Pink is always in order, and I had a ball in the dressing room trying on Lilly after Lilly dress. I slipped into: 

the MarieKate Dress ... I adore that lace! Just one question: the turquoise? 

or the lime green? 

As soon as I saw the photo from the Summer catalog in the boat, I fell head over heels for these stripes! J'adore the Felicity dress. 

You all know how I feel about Lilly's summer print, You Gotta Regatta. (Hellooooo, new bloggie background!) I tried on many styles in this print and finally decided on a lovely tote for the boat and beach. Here were a few of my favorites: 

This maxi just screams effortless glamour.  

The pink zipper tickled me pink on the Delia shift. 

The white details of the Franco are the perfect summer touches to this sundress. 

 

Finally, the Georgie made me feel like a Southern belle through and through. 

I loved each dress, but it was the Maybell that stole my heart. Those stripes, those ruffles, that neckline, the gold exposed zipper...oooh la la! This dress made the journey back across the bay to the mainland with me.

After leaving Lilly, we hopped into Addison Craig, which was filled with Tory Burch galore! I bought the Eddie flats in a lovely Hermes orange hue. Fantastic news: the Eddies in orange are now on SALE for a steal here!

The Good, the Bad, and the Pretty

Good: Husband and I had a wonderfully cozy weekend, relaxing inside as the rain fell outside the window. 

Bad: The icky weather this weekend kept us inside and away from the water...and I still somehow did not get half of the things on my to-do list accomplished. 

Good: Four weeks from tomorrow, my summer class will be over and I will be free for the rest of the summer! 

Bad: My intense, 3 days a week, capstone class begins tomorrow...back to school for me.
