September Issues

Every good little fashionista knows that September is the biggest month of the year in the fashion magazine world. The Fall collections make their debut, and I anxiously await for my fashion bibles to arrive at my doorstep. I introduce: the September Issue of Vogue and Elle. 

1,500 pages of fall fashion eye candy is mine...this lady has lots of reading to do!

Some classic looks never go out of style, and Audrey Hepburn is the queen of timeless elegance.  In this lady's book, no one does skinny black ankle pants and flats like this lovely lady! Also, need I remind anyone of the LBD and pearls combo she expertly donned in Breakfast at Tiffany's?

Continuing with my French obsession leading up to our trip, I have been watching Christian Dior's film Secret Garden - Versailles on repeat. 

Don't you want to frolick through the gardens of Versailles and the Hall of Mirrors donned in dreamy Dior frocks, too???

Engagiversary

Three years ago today, he asked a question. I said yes.

We were on the boat in our special spot in the harbor...there was champagne...and music...and dancing...and a diamond sparkling above the water...and Husband down on one knee...



We are firm believers in celebrations, so tonight we will go back to this very same magical spot.

Happy engagiversary, Husband! The answer will always be YES. XX

A Mermaid Shower

Although my wedding planning days are long gone and there is no shower in my foreseeable future, I still find myself swooning over lovely wedding and shower details. This mermaid themed shower on Classic Bride was no exception (read: MAJOR swoon). The colors, the creative theme, the adorable touches, and the elegant styling have tickled this lady's fancy.

August Events

August is here, and this lovely page is now displayed on my Lilly calendar. While I am no way wishing the summer away, there are many events going on in August that I am trés excited for:

-bridesmaid dress shopping this weekend with my besties

-a wedding weekend away at the beach house

-boat trips and visitors

-Husband's birthday, which usually means a trip to Nantucket

-the arrival of the September issues, especially Vogue
-two anniversaries in one month: our engagement and wedding, celebrations galore! 

-our anniversary trip to PARIS at the end of the month! Ooh la la!
