Here comes the Lilly Bride! I'm sure many of you have already heard the big news: Lilly will debut 12 unique gowns incorporating Lilly lace, grosgrain and fun hints of pink and green in late 2010... a tad too late for this bride-to-be (and I'm in luuuurve with my gown), but I cannot wait to feast my eyes on these lovelies! Perhaps we can renew our vows someday...

Pink & Green Thursday: Shower Part 2
Happy Pink & Green Thursday, my fellow pink and green lovers! More shower pictures for you today, and more pinks and greens!
Here is the famous cupcake in the box with the poem... recipe is on the back. (And if you want to bake yourself, see my last post!)
On the walls... our fairy tale come true.
There may have been some Tiffany-blue boxes... (hint - think wine glasses and champagne flutes!)
And a few pink and green Lilly surprises as well - drink shaker, picture frame, and two adorable nightgowns.
And my beloved shower dress from the Jubilee collection - true amore!
Send some love to Trish in Mexico, and play along with us with your favorite pinks and greens! *Air kisses on each cheek!*

Diamond Ring Cupcakes
Hi lovelies! I still haven't gotten the chance to upload my pictures from the shower, so here is the recap Part 1. Part 2 will include many more pictures - pinky promise!
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
2 c sugar
1 1/2 c salad oil
4 eggs
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 c butter or margarine
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
1 lb confectioner's sugar
2 c finely grated carrots
1 (8 1/2 oz) can crushed pineapple (drained)
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 (3 1/2 oz) can flaked coconut
Carrot Cake:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt & cinnamon. Add sugar, oil & eggs. Mix well. Add carrots, pineapple, nuts & coconut; blend thoroughly. Bake in a 9"x13" greased & floured pan or three 9" round layer cake pans. Bake at 350° for 35-40 min. Or make 11/2-2 doz cupcakes and bake at 350° for 20-25 min.
Frosting:
Combine butter, cheese & vanilla; cream well. Add confectioner's sugar gradually, beating well. If mixture is too thick, add a bit of milk.
YUM-MIE! Happy baking, dolls!
Here is the gift table (see all those pretty pinks and greens!) before I arrived and tore apart all that lovely wrapping. It was at a restaurant overlooking the harbor, and the weather could not have been more perfect. We enjoyed brunch and strawberry shortcake trifle for dessert, while sipping on mimosas (my favorite!).
The favors were "carrot cake" cupcakes with a "carat" diamond ring in the frosting - how adorable! Here is the darling poem (an original by Mother - so creative!) along with the recipe (my soon-to-be Mother in Law's) that guests received.
In case you have the itch to bake...

Photo Friday: July 4th in Photos
Photo Friday today is a photo montage of our July 4th weekend. Fashionably late, oui? Come along with me and relive our boating adventures celebrating our nation. (The weekend was full of islands, red, white, and blue, sundresses, sparklers, flags, and boats... there may even be a few fireworks...)
We began our journey Friday afternoon on the adorable island of Cuttyhunk. Here is the view pulling into the harbor. LOVE.
Exploring the island and admiring the gorgeous homes.
Heading out to the mooring for the night and taking in a sunset or two.
Saturday morning, we crossed Vineyard Sound to enjoy breakfast in Menemsha on Martha's Vineyard. Such a darling little town!
Heading home to celebrate the 4th at Fiancé's parents' lobster/steak party.
Meeting friends for a boat rendezvous/fireworks viewing fiesta!
It wouldn't be the 4th without fireworks!
Debuting my new Amrita Singh necklace for Sunday brunch at the yacht club. Gold and pearls are a girl's best friend!
Pulling into Oak Bluffs harbor... if you haven't seen the gingerbread houses on Martha's Vineyard, you must! Too adorable for words! (I wish I had a picture for you... next time.)
My favorite town on the Vineyard: Edgartown! Here is the Newes, one of Fiancé's and my favorite restaurants.
Shopping, shopping, and more shopping! J. McLaughlin, In the Pink, and Nell = heavenly.
Oceanfront dining enjoying lobster and champagne... I can almost still taste it!
Rooftop view for Fireworks Take 2: Edgartown fireworks on the 4th.
Time to spend the day at Lake Tashmoo... the perfect spot to anchor, swim, and read more of Social Climbers! (almost finished and luuurving it!)
Last stop: lunch at the Black Dog in Vineyard Haven.
There's our Finch Hatton on the dock!
Keeping our fingers crossed for more beautiful boating weather this weekend... hooray for Friday! Have a lovely weekend, dolls! XO
