Channel Coco Chanel in Paris
I have been reading The Gospel According to Chanel (a fabulous read thus far - highly recommend it to all of you, my fellow fashionistas), and this has me daydreaming of life as the one and only Coco... Perhaps a trip to Paris is in order, oui? And I have the PERFECT place to stay! Have you seen pictures of the Coco Chanel Suite at the Hôtel Ritz Paris??? I die.
Mademoiselle Chanel made the Ritz her home from 1934 to 1971, and this suite restored in her honor with the help of an art historian and advisor to Karl Lagerfeld. Can you imagine the gorgeous fabrics, the stately furniture, and the glamorous touches of this room? Beyond chic.
How fabulous! I must add that book to my reading list. It would be divine to stay there and pretend to be just as chic as Coco herself. ;)
