NYFW in Review: Beaded

The Great Gatsby and 20's inspired fashion has revived my love of beautiful beading. With each beaded gown that graced the runway, I fell more and more in love.

Gilded and glamorous, the more beading the better!

NYFW in Review: Ladylike Lace

The runways have shifted across the pond from New York to London, and I have compiled my favorite looks from Spring. (Can I confess that I'm already dreaming of Spring days?) Having taken in thousands of looks from countless designers, I have spotted some very prominent trends:

Lace
Beading
Black & White
Brights vs. Pastels
Bold Prints
White

Also, be on the lookout for full skirts, crop tops, and jumpsuits. Let's begin with my favorite lace looks!

Is there anything more ladylike that lovely lace? I think not!

Tory Burch: NYFW

Tailored, chic, and with a nod to 60's mod, Tory Burch took the runway by storm as models walked on water donning chic silhouettes. Metallics, embroidery, beading, prints galore! With a resort feel and a touch of sophistication, I am smitten with the entire collection. Which are your favorites?

PS: I cannot overlook those pointy toed metallic flats...swoon!

Erin Fetherston: NYFW

Erin Fetherston has quickly joined the ranks of my favorite designers with her feminine and romantic frocks. Erin's sheer fabrics, gorgeous hues, flattering cuts, ladylike lace, and ruffles made her Spring 14 collection one of my favorites to date. Rich pinks and plums, bright blues and magentas, and black and white combinations are perfect for sunny garden parties of Spring. Floral crowns as a crowning touch? I'm in love.

J.Crew Spring 14: NYFW

Prepare your closets for a major J.Crew invasion come Spring. Yesterday's presentation was chock-full of punchy prints, structured dresses, and sensational shorts that you will be convinced you cannot live without as temperatures rise. The entire collection exuded the effortlessly chic vibe that J.Crew has perfected to a tee. And can we TALK about those shoes?! A collaboration with Sophia Webster will assure your toes will not feel left out.

Oh, Oscar!

Does any man do a ballgown like Oscar de la Renta? His collections are the epitome of ladylike elegance, and Oscar continues to sweep me off my feet season after season.

As a rendition of "Here Comes the Sun" played and the first models took the runway, a string of conservative cuts in black and white accented with lovely lace floated by. The tempo quickened (as did my heart), the skirts became fuller, and with the first glimpse of tulle, I knew Oscar was coming into his element. Florals, full skirts, flowing gowns, elegant embroidery, and perfectly placed appliques overwhelmed the senses! Swinging chandeliers from the ears, fresh faces, and sleek hair complemented the look. Words simply cannot express the beauty, so without further ado, I present my favorites from the S/S 14 collection:
